Activison has announced that Destiny: The Taken King has become the most downloaded day-one game in PlayStation history and what’s also impressive, is that more people have played Destiny via The Taken King then on Destiny’s launch in September 2014, beating its own records in the process So all fool for those that continue to ask that question “Do people still play this game?”
CEO of Activision Publishing; Eric Hirshberg had this to say on this record setting announcement:
Destiny: The Taken King is officially the most downloaded game on day-one in PlayStation history and set a new benchmark for both total Destiny players and peak online concurrency on day-one, so it’s safe to say the Destiny franchise continues to gain momentum,” said Eric. “Along with our talented partners at Bungie, we cannot wait to watch the community continue to grow and tackle the King’s Fall Raid kicking off on Friday.
Along with the vast improvements made with The Taken King and its big update prior to its release which made a whole host of improvements, Destiny: The Taken King offers great value for money, which is also a beneficial factor with its recent sales records.
