Since the release of PES 16, despite it being a fantastic game, there have been issues with the Data Packs, which are supposed to ensure that the game stays up-to-date with club transfers, as well as updating kits and various player likenesses. In a nutshell, the Data Packs released so far have missed key club transfers that occurred during the end of the August transfer window. So for an annual game that is expected to remain as up-to-date as possible, many PES gamers have been left frustrated by the out of date content.
However, as a way to say sorry by Konami, they have announced that PES 16 will be getting officially licensed Euro 2016 content for free, which is of course Europe’s most prestigious international football tournament. No release date has been given for the Euro 16 content as of yet.
Since the Data Pack troubles, the next free update has been delayed, but Konami has confirmed that the next Data Pack will arrive early December and will include Brazilian stadium the Maracana, updated club transfers (finally), new national kits and more player likenesses. As they say “better late than never.”
